Glass bottle beverage filling machine quotation: freeze the acceptance basis

Before you request a glass bottle beverage filling machine quotation, decide how fill quantity and foam will be judged, and whether rinsing plus crown-cap application sit inside the same machine price. This Commissioning Guide is a procurement dossier. It is not an engineering stamp, a hygiene certificate or a promise that any bidder will pass FAT or SAT. Beverage Filling Machine Sourcing uses it to keep glass-specific items from disappearing into a still-product filler quote.

Decision topic: Acceptance basis

Decision dossier

Acceptance basis

Acceptance basis: Sample run

The sample run on glass should use production-intent bottles and the intended crown or alternative closure. Record product temperature and inlet pressure. Ask how foam loss and fill quantity are measured together—mass, volumetric gauge or both. If rinsing is included, the rinse water quality and drain path belong in the same record. If rinsing is excluded, the quotation must say so in the same sentence as the filler price.

Filling principle remains a written supplier statement for each carbonated and still recipe. Cycle time on the turret is not an acceptance criterion unless the same bottle and beverage are used.

Site readiness

Site readiness for glass includes footprint with safety doors open, overhead clearance for bottle infeed, and access to remove filling tubes. Confirm three-phase supply, connected load, compressed air demand and cooling water. Confirm whether crown-cap application, hopper and crimp tooling are inside the offer. Changeover between 26 mm and 29 mm finishes, when both exist in the SKU list, needs named parts—not a verbal “easy change.”

FAT documents should list the glass SKUs that will actually be tested. SAT at the plant should not substitute PET for glass without a recorded deviation.

Owner acceptance

Owner acceptance is the buyer’s decision that the quotation’s inclusion list matches the plant. We do not countersign. Broken-bottle handling, lubricant policy around glass, and spare parts for crowns are manufacturer or plant items unless the contract says otherwise. If those items are silent, treat them as excluded.

Return to catalog options only to label the inquiry; the dossier above is what makes two glass quotations comparable.

Separate the glass filler skid from site work in the quotation

Commissioning language fails when installation pads, training days and spare parts hide inside a single undifferentiated price. Mark the boundary before manufacturers answer.
